Run by Patients for Patients

CPSG Meetings in 2021  will take place in the small hall at Southgate Community Centre, Caie Walk, Nowton Estate, Bury St Edmunds IP33 2PJ and will be held monthly on the third Thursday between 2pm-4pm.  Meetings include speakers, presentations and refreshments. Also a raffle and a table top sale is held to raise funds for the group. CPSG is a face-to-face, non-judgmental group. It is a really friendly, informal and relaxed environment in which you and your loved ones can come and go as you please, and move around to feel more comfortable. Our members are there for each other and we do our best to ensure meetings run smoothly and are enjoyable to attend. Members coming together on a regular basis helps prevent isolation, lonliness and improves quality of life.

By joining the group you become a member which gives you entitlement to be involved throughout, a vested interest and particpation in all group activities. Beforehand we advise you to come to the meetings more than once to see if it is for you.

Visitors are welcome to drop in to see what we are all about so if you are passing give us a look, you will receive a warm welcome.

We are run by patients for patients and understand just how you feel. If you cannot make a meeting then please don’t worry, we are happy to keep you informed via our newsletter which can be posted or emailed. Just let us have your details.

The Chronic Pain Support Group has been featured on BBC Radio Suffolk, in addition, we have had a full page write up regarding our work in the  British Pain Society Journal ‘Pain News’.  Also in local newspapers, and the hospital internal newsletter.

Since 2017 we have had monthly articles published in a directory that serves two large areas of Bury St Edmunds. You may find us in another local publication  from time to time too.
